The Role
We are looking for a Water Resources Engineering Graduate to join our Water Resources Department in our Mississauga office. The role is suited for a recent graduate interested in all aspects of water resources engineering, including modelling, fieldwork, and reporting. The position offers a dynamic environment, mentorship from senior engineers, and career growth opportunities within a respected consulting firm. Work is primarily based in the Mississauga office, with some travel depending on project needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Hydrologic and hydraulic analyses and modelling
- Design of hydraulic structures, water conveyance and storage systems
- Preparation of technical reports, drawings and specifications
- Preparation of bid/proposal packages
- Helping to maintain strong relationships with clients
- Participate in and promote KGS Group’s 24/7 safety culture
About You
- Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in civil engineering with a specialization in water resources engineering from a recognized university (Master’s degree is an asset)
- 0-3 years of relevant experience, preferably in an engineering consulting environment
- Understanding of water resources engineering principles. Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic modelling and analysis software is an asset (please indicate to us details of your experience with numerical models)
- Organizational skills, ability to manage time and resources
- Excellent verbal & written English language skills. Competency in a French, both spoken and written would be considered an asset
- Candidate must be able to work independently and as part of multidisciplinary teams
- Proficiency in MS Office. Familiarity with programming, databases and GIS is an asset
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and the ability/willingness to undergo security clearance checks
- Safety is top priority; must be able to recognize hazardous situations or conditions and be dedicated to putting the health and safety of yourself and others working around you first
Salary
This job posting is for a current vacancy. The salary range for this role is between $70,000-$95,000 annually.
